Tocatta Update

I’ve brought the Widor Toccata lens up to full production standard at last.  It’ll probably evolve somewhat but it is basically there.

The major problem though is that it has been ranking abysmally in Google.  I’d got the module headings wrong so I’ve changed that.  If Google doesn’t have a mood about that change, then that should help the rank.  To give both the Allegro and the Toccata a boost, I’ve created a Hub which features both of them.  I find Hubpages polcies somewhat stifling and it’s hard to write hubs to promote lenses, but that one has enough original content (a poll on which is the better piece) that it qualifies.

Widor Allegro Finished

It is done, and I’m very happy with it.  It’ll grow out with some extra links as I create linked lenses but essentially it’s a full production version.  Now onto the Widor Toccata which is a much higher volume – and more competitive subject.  I’m hoping the lenses so far will support it and hopefully lift it in Google.

Widor Allegro

The Widor 6th lens is on the front page of Google already, so I started a child lens (which will be fairly lengthy) just on the Allegro.  I hit publish by mistake so it isn’t finished yet but at 4am it’s beyond me for tonight as there are at least another 2 hours work, perhaps 3.  I started a Widor Toccata as well and a Cavaille-Coll lens.  Even more work.

I’ll post again when I have the Allegro lens finished.  I’d ignore it for now.  At least most of the many body is in so that Google can start indexing it.

Widor Mini-Series

As an offshoot of my series on English Cathedral organs I wrote a lens about Widor’s 5th Organ Symphony.  Despite little traffic so far – I hadn’t expected much at this stage – that lens has done very nicely in terms of royalties.  So it has a new sister (brother?) a lens on Widor’s 6th Organ Symphony.  I’ve started two other Widor lenses as well, and a lens on one of the French churches I featured in the new Widor lens.  I’m presently not certain how many Widor lenses there will ultimately be.  It could just be 4 or 5, or I might fully expand out all the children and make 20 or so.  We’ll see how things go.

My first lens is on page 3 of Google.  Hopefully the companion lenses will help puh it up a bit, but I’ll probably also add a Hub in due course as well.  The Cathedral lenses as they get built out should also act as support, and again I can write a hub and articles to support them.

I’ll also start adding Bach and Vierne.  I’ve a Bach cross-over lens in WIP.  And probably some Saint-Saens as well.  Then there are lenses on the organ builders themselves.  So far I have one of those in WIP but I must add Cavaille-Coll pretty soon.  It’s turned into a big project but I think I can break it down into manageable pieces.  My first target is the Widor.

Widor Organ Symphony No 5 in F Minor

Since I’m writing lenses about cathedral organs, my thoughts turned to organ music and organ builders.  Expect lenses about Willis and Sons (that’s in WIP) and other organ builders.  For now though here is a lens about the most famous of Widor’s organ symphonies – No 5.   A lens on symphony no 6 is in WIP and will get finished in due course.
